Uganda Autism Relief Program

Great News! 🎉

Last month, the UARP team decided to return to Uganda. 🤩

There is a super momentum over there that should not be missed. What they're doing can serve as a great example to set here in Europe as well.

Together with the ministries of health and education, 20 special needs schools were identified and approached. Every headmaster of these schools has pledged to start implementing Qigong Massage in their schools over the next 3 years.

How amazing is that? 🤩

Knowing that the bulk of children with disabilities are in boarding schools this gives a really great opportunity to reach many autistic children in 1 go.

In early December, 20 professionals from the different schools have already started their online training in Qigong Therapy for autism. (See photo) We will return in February to give the practical part of the training and start clinical supervision.

The dean of Kyambogo University in Kampala has also joined the project and will delegate 1 staff member for 3 years to follow up our project through data collection and analysis. The QST method will also be implemented in the university's ECLAC (Early Childhood Learning & Assessment Centre).

I'm over the moon 😄
with the progress we are making in Uganda.

You see, if something actually works then people really take to it.

Voilà, just wanted to tell you that and also say thank you for your support 🤩

Many greetings 😘
